Migratory Birdwatching in Bryant Park

Course:  SOCI 231 — Introduction to Urban Community Health

Modality: in-person

Assignment: Students read articles about the relationship between bird species numbers and human health, discussed those articles in class and then participated in an migratory birdwatching tour with a bird guide in Bryant Park. 

Assessment Tools:  Students wrote a reflection on the birdwatching experience, relating it to the article they discussed prior to the experience.
